Henderson is a city located just 16 miles from the City of Las Vegas in the state of Nevada. As the second largest city in the state, it has quickly become a place known to tourists around the world. Partly due to its proximity to the casino capitol of the world, but also for its merit in providing visitors with a positive experience time and again.
When Henderson was first populated it was due to a factory that was built to help facilitate the war efforts of the second world war. After the war the federal government sold the land back to the state and those that remained did very well to build it up to the great city that it is today. During that span the city has seen various stages, which now is mainly focused on commercial and residential development with a high level of tourist appeal.
Many that choose to stay in Henderson are drawn to it as it is just a short distance from the lights and bustle of Las Vegas. This has two benefits. It is known to be much more of a relaxed place to vacation, but those that choose to stay there can easily visit its sister city without much of a commute at all.
Additionally, Henderson offers just about everything that you can find in the bigger city next door. They have their museums, spas, fine dining, casinos, hotels and more. In fact, they have so much to offer that many feel that Henderson is the true destination in the state and bypass the other options completely.
This city also has its appeal when it comes to its nightlife. While most people do not consider Vegas to be extremely dangerous, it does have a relatively high rate of crime due to so many tourists occupying the city and carrying around large amounts of cash at any given time. On the other hand, Henderson has been noted by many sources to be one of the safest cities in the entire country.
If you have not had the privilege of visiting this wonderful city now is the time. It is quickly becoming a major tourist destination due to how much it has to offer and the great environment it has created for its visitors. Seize the opportunity before it becomes as busy as Vegas is.
